The Appointments Committee of the Faculty of Medicine at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg invites all interested parties to a public hearing of the candidates for the W2 professorship in Biostatistics on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The event will take place in the Large Conference Room (Building 18) on the campus of Magdeburg University Hospital, Leipziger Str. 44, 39120 Magdeburg.

- 9:45 – 10:15 a.m.: Dr. Dennis Görlich, University of Münster Topic: “Biostatistical Methods in Clinical Research – From Planning Flexible Dose-Finding Designs to Investigating Long-Term Survival”
- 10:20 – 10:50 a.m.: Dr. Anika Grosshennig, Hannover Medical School Topic: “Randomized Trials as a Research Platform: Synergies Between Methodological and Clinical Research”
- 10:55 – 11:25 a.m.: Mr. Rudy Ligtvoet, PhD, University of Cologne
- Topic: “Coherent Systems of Risk Factors: Application of Coherent Risk Factors for Predicting Disease Progression in Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia”
This will be followed by teaching demonstrations.
